Global 6000 jet obtains Brazilian certification

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it has received full certification for its Global 6000 jet from the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil in Brazil.
“This is an important milestone in our Global 6000 jet’s history of leadership in Brazil, and we expect it to help generate even more interest in the world’s leading long-range, large cabin business jet,” said Fabio Rebello, Regional Vice President, Sales, Latin America, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “With this new certification the entire families of Learjet, Challenger and Global jets now have Brazilian certification.”
Global 6000 aircraft: The Global 6000 jet’s unrivalled cabin size and levels of comfort combined with an optional stand-up shower and the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck means no other purpose built business jet comes close in terms of high-speed range capability and traveller comfort. Offering the ultimate in technology, this intrepid jet can link Sao Paulo with London, New York and Cairo, non-stop, with eight passengers and three to four crew*.
Bombardier to showcase two class-leading jets at Aero India

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it will showcase two of its class-defining jets at this year’s Aero India airshow in Bangalore, India from February 6 to February 11, 2013. On display will be the Challenger 605 and Global 6000 business jets.
“India represents huge potential for business aviation,” said Nilesh Pattanayak, Regional Vice President, Sales, Asia-Pacific. “As the economy grows and the need for global and regional corporate travel increases in the region, the value of a business jet is now well established. Our Global aircraft family is the market leader in India and we look forward to having the opportunity to showcase a Global 6000 jet, our class-leading Challenger 605 jet and presenting our overall product portfolio.

Dassault Introduces the Falcon 2000LXS
(Orlando, Florida, October 29, 2012) – Dassault Falcon today launched the Falcon 2000LXS offering improved airport performance, payload and cabin comfort compared to the Falcon 2000LX which it will replace in 2014. The 4,000 nm Falcon 2000LXS will allow operators to access more airports because of new full-length inboard slats which give the aircraft category-leading airport performance and balanced field length.
“Customers are demanding more of their business jet and that’s what Dassault is delivering in the Falcon 2000LXS. Like all Falcons, the 2000LXS will offer the best fuel economy and the lowest operating costs in its category,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. “But, what also needs to be recognized is the continuous evolution and robustness of the Falcon 2000 platform which has set the highest of standards for comfort, reliability and efficiency in business aviation.”
With full fuel, the Falcon 2000LXS will have a payload of 2,190 pounds; a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 42,800 lbs with a balanced field length of 4,675 feet, which is over 1,000 feet better than some aircraft in its category.
At M.80, the Falcon 2000LXS will offer a range of 4,000 nm (standard aircraft, full fuel, 6 pax, NBAA IFR reserves, 85% Boeing Annual Winds). It will climb directly to 41,000 feet in 19 minutes, reach a mid-cruise altitude of 45,000 feet and have a certified ceiling of 47,000 feet. With a typical end-of-flight profile, the Falcon 2000LXS will need just 2,260 feet of runway, no longer than that needed for a turboprop aircraft.

Enhanced Experience, Quieter Cabin
The cabin sound level within the Falcon 2000LXS has been lowered by two decibels compared to its predecessor. It will be delivered standard with an entirely new FalconCabin HD+ cabin management system that places more controls and greater convenience into the hands of passengers, making the transition from the office to the aircraft as seamless as possible. The system provides high definition viewing on monitors up to 22 inches with functions that can be controlled from anywhere in the aircraft via an iPod Touch or iPhone. A dedicated application allows passengers to control video playback, operate optional electronic window shades and adjust the lights, temperature and other cabin parameters to their liking.
Updated, Greener Engine
Thrust on the 2000LXS will be provided by two new generation Pratt & Whitney Canada 308C engines. Already proven on the Falcon 2000EX/LX, they will provide 7,000 lbs max thrust each at ISA+15˚C. However, the newest generation of this engine is even more environmentally friendly due to a new TALON II® combustor. It produces 20% fewer NOx emissions than the previous generation, without any penalty in power. It will be 40% greener than required by future CAEP/6 regulations.

Dassault Set to Deliver 500th Falcon 900
This Falcon 900LX, which will initially serve as a demonstration aircraft, is scheduled to be handed over in early summer 2013. Twenty Falcon 900LX’s have been delivered since the latest version of the storied large cabin tri-jet line was certified in July 2010.
Originally conceived in the 1980s, the Falcon 900 was the first - and remains - the only, airplane in its class with a three engine design, which offers unmatched airport performance and margins of safety, especially on long, over-water flights.
The Falcon 900 features a comfortable cabin width of seven feet eight inches and a cabin height of six feet two inches. Standard layout permits three seating areas and a large baggage compartment accessible while in-flight. The roomy proportions of its cross section became so popular it was adopted on the Falcon 2000 family and the all new Falcon 7X.
“The Falcon 900 family has thrived for so many years because of its versatility, comfort, performance and fuel efficiency,” said John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon. “The interior has always been highly regarded as one the most spacious and comfortable in its class.”
Since its first flight in September 1984, the Falcon 900 has accumulated over 2.6 million flight hours.
